I have been in business in Monterey since 1991. Most of my business is the preparation and filing of uncontested divorce, legal separation, child custody, visitation and support. I also prepare real property deeds. I have been a notary public since 1992. To a lesser extent I handle probate, estate and legal guardianships for minor children.
I have lived in Monterey all of my life. I went back to school a number of years ago and earned an AS in Administration of Justice from Monterey Peninsula College, a BA in Social Science/History from Thomas Edison State University and a Master's in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University. What I sometimes call my "second job" is investigating, writing and publishing American history through my publishing company "Investigative Historian Press." I have several books in the works. My current project is a book tentatively titled "History of the Bi-Centennial Association of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Citizens' Committee of Philadelphia, 1880-1943." This book will contain over 200 pages of unpublished archival documents from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
