I opened my business in Monterey on January 1, 1991. When I first started my business, I only handled limited types of cases. In 1992 I started handling uncontested family law matters. Most of my business is now real property deeds and notary. I handle a limited number of uncontested family law matters depending on my schedule. Although I am a Legal Document Assistant by profession which means that I prepare legal documents, I do not handle all types of legal documents. If you need a service that I do not provide, I am happy to refer you to someone who handles services that I do not.

I have lived in Monterey all of my life. I went back to school a number of years ago and earned an AS in Administration of Justice from Monterey Peninsula College, a BA in Social Science/History from Thomas Edison State University and an MLIS (master's degree in library and information science) from San Jose State University.
My Legal Document Assistant business is what one might call my "day job." I have been an independent scholar since the late 1980s. I investigate, write and publish American history. I have several books in the works. My current project is a book tentatively titled "History of the Bi-Centennial Association of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Citizens' Committee of Philadelphia, 1880-1943." This book will contain over 200 pages of unpublished archival documents from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. I plan to publish it through my publishing company, "Investigative Historian Press."
In October 2026, I will be delivering a scholarly paper at the 60th annual meeting of the North American Vexillological Association (www.nava.org) which is being held in Indianapolis this year. My paper, "History of the United States Album Flag, 1908-1923" covers a type of symbolic American flag created for special events and purposes. This type of flag has been almost completely lost to history. I am pleased to have the opportunity to share this long-forgotten piece of history.
